Oliver Glasner has already offered Crystal Palace hope amid RB Leipzig links and Danny Rohl claim

Crystal Palace have been dealt a concern they did not want to be dealing with heading into the end of the season and towards their upcoming FA Cup final. Reports emerged on Tuesday claiming that Eagles boss Oliver Glasner has become the subject of interest from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.
Leipzig sacked Marco Rose at the end of March, leaving interim boss Zsolt Lőw in charge for the time being. TalkSPORT have since reported that Palace are worried that Leipzig will try to appoint Glasner, who has experience in Germany across spells with Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt, notably winning the Europa League and reaching the German Cup final with the latter.

Hide AdGlasner is under contract until 2026 as things stand, but Palace are said to be in discussions over an extension amid an impressive season. The Eagles have not only achieved a steady mid-table finish with games to spare, but they have that all-important FA Cup final with Manchester City coming up.
If Glasner does leave this summer, Palace would need to consider how they keep their current project on the rails by appointing the right boss, and there is already talk of them lining up a replacement.
According to German reporter Philipp Hinze, Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl is of interest to Palace, while Fulham are also eyeing the German in case Marco Silva departs. Rohl has stabilised Wednesday in the Championship with a modest budget, and he managed to secure an impressive 12th place finish this season.
Glasner appears to be happy at Palace
While Rohl might be an attractive manager, Palace would undoubtedly prefer to keep Glasner, and the Austrian does seem happy. Speaking after winning the FA Cup semi-final, he praised the club for their recruitment, saying: “100 per cent credit to the recruitment. Not to just to the players’ profiles but also the character of the players. It’s a great group to manage, to coach. It is great recruitment.

He won the ball for the third and passed to Sarr at the right moment. It’s all about recruitment and talent and character. Then we can build a group. Now we’ve got the first small reward, that we can come back in three weeks and play here in this really fantastic stadium again.”
Much of a manager’s happiness often comes from how the club is being run, and Glasner seems more than content on that front, which will give Palace fans some cause for optimism. Meanwhile, the Palace boss has shown ambition aplenty even in the face of achieving the impressive feat of reaching the final. He said recently: “Our clear goal is we want the highest number of (Premier League) points in Palace history. That means we need five in four games — so the best way to achieve it is getting three against Forest and three against Tottenham because then we can focus on the final.”
