With the international break still ongoing, let’s take a look at who will be fit to play for Crystal Palace at the weekend when they take on Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
As things stand, the Eagles have two players who will definitely miss out on Saturday’s game - with a further two who have doubts surrounding their availability.
Roy Hodgson’s men have had a strong start to the 2023/24 Premier League season, defending resolutely and breaking with pace - thankfully, none of Palace’s top defenders are expected to miss out on the game against the Toon. They could, however, be without some of their key midfielders.
1. Eberechi Eze - out
Eberechi Eze is set to be out with a hamstring injury until the back end of November.
2. Michael Olise - out
Like Eze, Michael Olise is also out of the Newcastle game with a hamstring issue - he could return as early as Palace’s game against Tottenham Hotspur, however.
3. Cheick Doucoure - doubt
Cheick Doucoure is a doubt for the game against Newcastle - he will face a late fitness test before the game.
4. Jefferson Lerma - doubt
Jefferson Lerma has been out with an injury since September - but he could make his return on Saturday afternoon.
