Crystal Palace defender Marc Geuhi has broken his silence amid strong interest from Newcastle.

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has shown he is not distracted by ongoing talks between Crystal Palace and Newcastle United by posting an interesting message to fans after returning to his club. Newcastle are keen to bring the England star to St. James’ Park, with Eddie Howe's side having seen two bids turned down. A third bid, reportedly around £60 million, is still below Crystal Palace’s £70million valuation.

Sources have informed LondonWorld that the Eagles will only sell for a record fee in the region of £70million, so this third bid remains under the asking price. However, both parties are working towards reaching an agreement to finally conclude this transfer saga.

Despite the ongoing transfer discussions, Guehi showed his focus by uploading a picture of himself back in training with his Crystal Palace teammates, captioned with the phrase "back at it."

The BBC has also confirmed Crystal Palace value Guehi at close to £70 million, which would make him Newcastle's record signing. The 24-year-old joined Palace from Chelsea in 2021 and has since made 111 appearances for the club, even captaining the team in several games last season.

The current deal structure is reportedly around £55 million with £5 million in add-ons, but Palace are resolute in their demand for the full fee before sanctioning a move. Guehi has two years remaining on his current contract, putting Palace in a strong position to demand a significant fee for their prized asset.

The defender was a key member of the England squad that reached the final of the Euros in Germany and was even linked with Real Madrid as a potential replacement for Nacho earlier in the summer.

Newcastle missed out on European football last season, partly due to their injury record, and they are now looking to bolster their squad depth and make a statement by signing Guehi.
