Crystal Palace vs Man Utd early injury news as 9 sidelined and 1 doubt
Crystal Palace are now gearing up for a clash with Manchester United on Saturday after their Carabao Cup win over QPR on Tuesday night. The Eagles won 2-1 at Loftus Road thanks to Eberechi Eze’s homecoming winner, and attention now turns back to the Premier League.
Palace are still searching for their first Premier League win of the season, and they face a big test this weekend, hosting the Red Devils. Erik ten Hag’s men beat Southampton last week and destroyed Barnsley with a 7-0 win in the Carabao Cup during the week. Here we round up all the injury news surrounding both teams ahead of this weekend’s Selhurst Park clash.

Hide AdLeny Yoro - Out
Yoro is out until at least late November with an ankle injury he sustained early in the season.
Tyrell Malacia - Out
Malacia remains out with a knee injury he picked up around a year ago. The full-back has had a torrid time returning from his injury.
Mason Mount - Out
Mount has a thigh injury that will keep him out of this one, but he is back in full training and could return this month. Ten Hag has said: "During the last game I picked up a minor muscle injury. I've had it checked and it looks like I'll be out for a few games. Leading up to and during pre-season, I worked hard to get my fitness back to where it needs to be and I felt re-energised, sharp and ready.
"I wanted you to hear it directly from me how frustrated I am, as I expect you are too. I will do everything possible to be back in the best shape and help the team."

Hide AdVictor Lindelof - Out
Lindelof is sidelined with an ankle injury and he will likely be out for another week.
Luke Shaw - Out
Shaw is out with a calf injury. Ten Hag has said: “First, Luke Shaw, he’s progressing but not ready yet to be selected. Of course, we have a plan in our head when he can be ready but you are always dependent on how the progress will go. You can’t think, you can’t make a suggestion [of a return date] because there are so many factors why a plan can accelerate or slow down.”
Rasmus Hojlund - Out
Hojlund is said to be close to returning but he is not likely to feature until after this game due to a recent thigh issue.
Chadi Riad - Out
Riad is out with a longer term issue. Glasner confirmed last week: “The doctor tells us it will take 8-12 weeks, so it will take a bit of time. We all thought it was worse at the beginning, but the ACL is not ruptured and that’s important. It will take several weeks.”

Franca remains sidelined as he works his way back from an abdominal issue. Glasner has said: “He’s still not training with the team, so he will need team and football training. He will have all of our support. But it will take several weeks.
“Everyone will be very important and play a big part for us, because we reduced the number of players [in our squad]. We have 20 outfield players and have three goalkeepers in our squad. We wanted to reduce it [the squad]. We want to go as far as possible in both cups in England. More than 50 games [with this squad] would be outstanding, and 20 players should be enough, but we need them in their best shape – we need them fit. That’s why everybody gets all of our support.”
Trevoh Chalobah - Doubt
Chalobah is a doubt with Glasner saying before last weekend’s game: “He injured his abdominal muscle in his first session with us – it’s a really strange injury. He’s also not available tomorrow. It won’t take very long. He’s questionable for QPR and Man United as well.”
Rob Holding - Out
Holding has been exiled from the squad, with Glasner simply saying: “Rob is training individually at the moment. We will talk together – he knows the reason. But it is something that stays between Rob and me. Nothing public.”
