Crystal Palace player ratings: 'Battling' 6/10 and 'disappointing' 4/10 vs Everton in FA Cup

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was sent off in the second half but Crystal Palace failed to take full advantage.

Crystal Palace will have to head to Goodison for a replay of their FA Cup third round game against Everton after being held to a 0-0 draw at Selhurst. With the rain bouncing off the turf in south London, it was the visitors who threatened sporadically even though in the end, a draw looked a fair reflection.

The home side looked lethargic from start with Everton surprisingly with bigger fishes to fry in the Premier League after their points deduction, the ones dominating the game and pinging in crosses to try and catch the Eagles backline.

Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson had to pull off a spectacular save to deny Arnaut Danjuma in the first half as the often vociferous Selhurst was quietened by Sean Dyche's imposing Toffees.

Palace had lost the exciting Micheal Olise to an injury before the game, so manager Roy Hodgson named Brazilian Matheus Franca in the starting eleven and for half an hour, he looked bright and had a burning desire to to impress before fading out in the second half.

The game though will turn on its head late on after Dominic Calvert-Lewin was sent off for showing his studs on a tackle with Palace defender Nathaniel Clyne. VAR replays showing it was a dangerous play.

Palace stepped things up with Eagles manager Roy Hodgson sending on striker Odsonne Edouard to force a win, but tried as they did, Everton held on to secure a replay. Here is how we rated all the Eagles players out there.
