Crystal Palace have the opportunity to bolster their ranks next month. The Eagles are currently 11th in the table and have picked up 19 points from 15 games so far.

Patrick Viera’s side were patient with their recruitment over the summer and didn’t rush into any signings. With that in mind, here is a look at how they could approach January...

Crystal Palace have been linked with a few full-backs over recent times. With Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne out of contract at the end of this campaign, a move for a player in that position this winter makes sense.

It is no secret that the London club want to bring back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United. 90min claim they have ‘spoken’ to the Red Devils about a potential deal, with rivals like Wolves, West Ham and Leeds United also in the frame. However, he has played in the last two games for Erik ten Hag’s side which suggests he may be getting back into team now.

There are other options out there. TEAMtalk suggest the Eagles like Leeds United right-back Cody Drameh along with Newcastle United. The same source has also reported that Viera’s side are interested in Middlesbrough’s Isaiah Jones after his impressive past few seasons in the Championship.

Luka Milivojević and James McArthur see their deals expire in June 2023 meaning the club needs to start thinking about long-term replacements. They could revive their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Djibril Sow after his impressive performances at the World Cup with Switzerland, as detailed in a report by The Athletic.

Moving further up the pitch, Palace have been linked with Antalyaspor striker Haji Wright by Turkish news outlet Ajansspor. They are said to be keen on Coventry City forward Viktor Gyokeres, as per Football League World, and Partick Thistle youngster Aiden McGinley according to the Daily Record.

Outgoings?

Speculation surrounding Wilfried Zaha is inevitable this winter with his contract up next summer. He has scored six goals in 14 games this term but is facing an uncertain future.

Malcolm Ebiowei is expected to head out the exit door on loan to get some experience with The Sun reporting Hull City and Swansea City want him. The Tigers have also been linked with Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, who is on loan at Charlton Athletic in League One right now, but their boss Liam Rosenior has poured cold water on that one and has told Hull Live: “I haven’t any idea about that one. You get these kinds of rumours at this time of year.”
