Crystal Palace are expected to make a decision on Malcolm Ebiowei’s situation ahead of the January transfer window. The winger has been linked with a loan exit this winter to get some game time under his belt.

According to reporter Alan Nixon on Twitter, the Eagles will decide what to do with him ‘soon’ with Championship side Hull City the team who want him the ‘most’. The Tigers’ boss Liam Rosenior worked with the player at Derby County last term.

Ebiowei, 19, was snapped up by Crystal Palace over the summer and penned a long-term deal at Selhurst Park. He has made five appearances for the South London outfit during the first-half of this season, three of which have come in the Premier League, but he hasn’t found the net yet.

The Londoner spent time as a youngster in the academies at Chelsea, Arsenal and Rangers before Derby swooped in for him in 2021. He enjoyed his opportunities with the Rams in the last campaign and played 16 times before leaving when Patrick Viera’s side came calling in June.

He gives Palace useful competition and depth in attacking areas but isn’t guarenteed regular senior football at this moment in time. A loan switch now, potentially to Hull, would enable him to get some experience to boost his development.
