Odsonne Edouard has been one of Palace's most effective attacking players so far this season - however, his time at the club could be limited, after he expressed his desire to return to former club PSG at some point in the future.

The Frenchman spent seven years at PSG, progressing through their youth ranks - while he made a handful of appearances for their B team, he never turned out for the senior squad in a competitive capacity. He is keen to right this wrong - but he would need to leave Selhurst Park for this to become a reality.

Before joining Palace, Edouard cut his teeth at Toulouse and Celtic - he joined the Eagles in 2021, making 74 appearances and scoring 16 Premier League goals since then. While he was prolific for France at youth level, he has yet to win a senior cap for Les Bleus.

What did Odsonne Edouard say in the interview?

On potentially returning to PSG one day, Edouard mused: “I only have good memories of my selections with the youth teams. We won the U17 Euros in 2017 with my PSG teammates Mamadou Doucouré, Alec Georgen, Lorenzo Callegari and Jonathan Ikoné.

"I finished top scorer during this competition [with 8 goals] . I scored a lot of goals, including with the Espoirs, so I obviously have the A's in the back of my mind! I work every day to give myself the means to go there one day." Despite this, Edouard spoke fondly of Palace: “I try to give the best version of myself every time I step onto a pitch. Making the supporters at Selhurst Park proud is my goal. It is by achieving successful performances that I could aspire to join one of the biggest European clubs. I aspire to become a striker who counts on the map of European football. It is therefore important to have a great season with the Eagles!"
