Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in Antalyaspor striker Haji Wright. The forward has emerged on the radar of the Premier League club ahead of the January transfer window.

According to a report by Turkish news outlet Ajansspor, the Eagles are one of the ‘strongest’ candidates for his signature. He has scored nine goals in 12 games so far this season in the Super Lig.

Wright, 24, was on Hull City’s radar over the summer. Hull Live claim the Tigers agreed a fee but weren’t able to lure him to the Championship in the end and brought in Colombia international Oscar Estupinan from Vitória de Guimarães instead.

He has just been away at the World Cup with USA and helped his country get out of their group in Qatar. However, they were knocked out in the Round of 16 by Holland in the end.

The Los Angeles-born man may be poised to land a move on the back of the tournament though with Crystal Palace believed to be keen. Patrick Viera’s side are currently 11th in the table after the opening 14 games and have picked up 19 points.

Wright has played for current side Antalyaspor since last year and initially joined them on loan before his transfer was made permanent in July. He has also played for the likes of LA Galaxy, New York Cosmos, Schalke, Sandhausen, VVV-Venlo and SønderjyskE in the past and has racked up 133 appearances in his career to date, chipping in with 40 goals.
