Crystal Palace star Michael Olise remains one of the most coveted young players in world football and the Eagles are once again expected to face a battle to keep their prize asset at the club.

Olise was the subject of immense interest from English giants Chelsea during the last transfer summer window. The Blues agreed to meet the player’s release clause of £35m back in August and were on the verge of signing the winger, according to the Guardian, but a sensational U-turn saw the 22-year-old commit his future to Crystal Palace by signing a new long-term contract until 2027.

Olise was a key part of the Crystal Palace team which survived in the Premier League last term, but he has since elevated his game to new heights this season - trebling last term’s league goal tally with six strikes from 11 games, whilst also recording three assists.

The France U21 international, along with Eberechi Eze, has been the team’s shining light in attack, in a season where the team have scored just 31 goals in 26 matches - giving them the fourth worst goal tally in the league, with only Sheffield United, Burnley and Everton scoring less.

Unsurprisingly this form has attracted the interest of a number of Europe's elite including Italian giants Juventus, who have been credited with interest, according to SportsWitness.

The outlet reveals that Juventus are monitoring the player closely, but are doing so more in a general manner at the moment due to the player’s price tag.

Sports Witness explains “Juventus are ‘absolutely attentive’ to Olise and while some intermediaries have reached out to Crystal Palace, any enquiry has been ‘promptly sent back to the sender.”

In short, Olise’s new contract is believed to have a release clause of around £55-£60m in his new deal, this figure would be out of reach for Juventus, who currently don’t have the money to compete with some of the Premier league’s richest clubs.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano told Caught Offside that Juventus are not alone in their pursuit of the French prodigy, adding that Premier League duo Manchester United and Chelsea are the most likely candidates to move for Olise, while Arsenal are also monitoring the situation closely.
