Crystal Palace ready to sell key star amid fresh Eberechi Eze transfer hint
All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Crystal Palace as they prepare to face Crawley Town.
Crystal Palace are back in action on Friday night when they face Crawley Town in a pre-season friendly. The Eagles will then be Austria-bound for the next stop in their pre-season preparations.

In the meantime, Oliver Glasner and the club’s recruitment staff will be hard at work trying to build a squad capable of battling in the Premier League and in European competition - whichever competition that ends up being amid an ongoing battle with UEFA. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Selhurst Park.
Guehi ‘stance’
Palace have reportedly signalled to other clubs that they are willing to sell Marc Guehi this summer. GiveMeSport have reported that Palace are now willing to listen to offers for the centre-back, who is in the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with Guehi this summer, while there has also been reported interest from Liverpool, and Newcastle United have previously seen offers rejected. Palace have previously demanded £75million to sell Guehi, but the contract situation means they will likely have to take significantly less this summer unless they can convince the England international to sign a new contract.
More Eze concerns
Crystal Palace fans were concerned when Eberechi Eze did not feature in the release of the club’s new home kit weeks ago, though his absence back then was owing to the extra time off he had on the back of international duty.
But Eze is now back in the mix, and yet he still doesn’t feature in the photoshoot done by the club for the release of their new away kit, which is gold, owing to their FA Cup win, and launched as ‘Gold is for winners’. Eze has been heavily linked with an exit amid reported interest from Arsenal, Tottenham and others, and his absence will not help level of confidence among fans, even if there may be a reason for it.
Woody Johnson purchases stake
New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has now been confirmed as a new owner of Crystal Palace, and he has also been confirmed as a new director. He said upon being made official: “I am honoured and privileged to be joining the ownership group of Crystal Palace Football Club. It is an organisation with a proud history, tradition, and deep roots in English football in South London, which I came to admire during my time as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
"Eagles fans have demonstrated extraordinary loyalty, passion, and unwavering dedication and I am excited to meet and get to know them. I have great respect for Steve Parish and the leadership he has provided over the years. I look forward to working with him and the entire ownership group to build on the club’s recent successes and help shape an exciting future for Crystal Palace. This is more than an investment - it’s a commitment to realising the vision for the club, the community, and the culture around Selhurst Park.”
