Crystal Palace will reportedly submit an improved bid to land centre-back Maxence Lacroix this week after seeing a bid rejected last week. Lacroix has been identified as the replacement for Joachim Andersen, who left for Fulham on a £30million deal last week.
Lacroix is set to want to leave Wolfsburg, but Palace came up short with their £14million bid last week. The Sunday Mirror say the Eagles will make an improved bid for the centre-back this week in a bid to wrap up a deal.
Andre deal dead
Fulham are said to have given up on Fluminense star Andre, with the Brazilian club president Mario Bittencourt telling Radio Itatiaia: “What we have at the moment is that Fulham have given up, they are no longer interested in the player. And we don’t have an official offer from any other club, but we’ve had surveys, conversations, enquiries that have been made directly to the player’s representative.
“There are still almost 10 days [less than a week in England] to go until the European window closes and there are still other markets. So, we’ll wait until the end of next week. We haven’t had any counterproposals between €25m and €35m. We asked Fulham officially if they had any intention of taking the player and they said they no longer have any interest.”

Serie A giants Napoli are expected to add to their upcoming signing of Romelu Lukaku, reportedly eyeing Manchester United man Scott McTominay and former Chelsea and now Brighton man Billy Gilmour.
“Napoli will sign two midfielders, now they have to decide who. They spoke with [Sofyan] Amrabat, and though they had a bid (€25 million) rejected for McTominay, their interest remains strong,” Fabrizio Romano told CaughtOffside.
“They have an agreement in principle for Billy Gilmour but are still waiting on the final green light to confirm his medical and travel. A decision will be made soon, but both McTominay and Gilmour remain on Napoli’s list. Let’s see how the conversation goes between Napoli and Man United in the next hours, in the next days, and see what happens with McTominay.”
