Crystal Palace dominated proceedings but ultimately picked up just one point after failing to score against a defensively well drilled Leeds United side at Selhurst.
In a game of little chances, it was the Eagles who pressed on to try and get three points with striker Jean-Philippe Mateta coming very close to giving the home side the lead after a fine cross from Jordan Ayew in the first half.
That chance was the best Palace could master in the opening exchanges and even though they improved in the second with Wilfried Zaha, Conor Gallagher and Jordan Ayew all missing chances that would have turned one point into three, Vieira side settled for a frustrating draw.
For Leeds the point is a massive one as it takes them to 34 on the league table and most importantly five more than 17th placed Everton going into the last five games of the season. Everton do have a game in hand, and will be confident of getting something out of it.
For Palace it was an improved performance, the best in the last four games, but they were another two points dropped having dominated the entire second half and only picking up a point to show for it.
Patrick Vieira has enjoyed a largely impressive first season but the last few games have looked pale and they will now hope they can get a win at Southampton to ease the pressure and ensure a calm finish to the season.
With both teams getting settling fro a point from a very scrappy encounter under the lights at Selhurst, here is how we rated all the Palace players.
