Crystal Palace secured their second win of the season with an impressive come from behind 2-1 win against Leed United at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles started the game nervously while Leeds United appeared energetic and up for the battle in south London.
Centre-back Pascal Struijk opened the scoring for United and they should have increased their lead after striker Patrick Bamford was through on goal, but his strike was saved by Vicente Guaita, who is one of the best shot-stoppers in the league.
That moment appeared to be the wake up call that Palace needed with striker Odsonne Edouard connecting well with a Michael Olise’s cross to level for the home side. Selhurst Park found their voice there and performances improved afterwards.
The Eagles were a different side in the second half, creating chance after chance and deservedly took the lead for the first time in the game after midfielder Eberechi Eze dropped his shoulder to finish off brilliantly from a Zaha flick..
Patrick Vieira punched the air in excitement after the final whistle and he would have been delighted knowing that he was the first manager to beat Leeds in a game the Yorkshire side took the lead this calendar year.
The Eagles move to nine points in the league table, same as Leeds United who have now gone five games without a win, their last coming against Chelsea.
This was a massive test for the Eagles who were languishing just around the bottom of the table- with just one win, but they have now kicked themselves into gear and will fancy their chance against Leicester, Everton and Wolves coming up.
So with an impressive outing at Selhurst, here is how we rated all the Palace players out there today.
