Crystal Palace are said to be one of a number of clubs who are interested in hiring former Manchester United star Ruud van Nistelrooy if things don’t work out with Oliver Glasner. Glasner has come under pressure due to the Eagles’ disappointing start to the season, and they are said to have candidates in mind while allowing their current boss more time to figure things out.
The report comes from Fichajes, who say Leicester City and Wolves are also keeping an eye on the former United interim boss. The Daily Mirror report that Van Nistelrooy is keen to land a manager or head coach role in the Premier League.
Jesus battle
Brentford and Fulham are battling for Brazilian striker Igor Jesus ahead of the January transfer window, according to The Boot Room. Jesus currently plays for Botafogo, and he has previously attracted interest from some of the bigger clubs, like Arsenal.
Jesus has since become a starter for the Brazil national team, scoring on his debut and providing an assist in his second outing, against Peru. Botafogo are said to want as much as £30million for the frontman, who is 23 years of age.

Hide AdGoretzka interest from United
Manchester United are said to be interested in a deal to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka as Ruben Amorim looks to get settled with his new squad. It’s unclear how much Amorim will get to spend in the January transfer window - if any - and indeed what kind of control he will be given over transfers.
Goretzka is out of contract in the summer of 2026, so Bayern may need to consider selling him next summer to avoid any risk of losing the Germany international for free. Though, Bayern could yet decide to offer the midfielder a new contract before that point.
