Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace have suffered several injury blows so far this season, but they could have a key man back for their clash against Newcastle United on Saturday.
Palace come off the back of a 2-2 draw to Aston Villa where they took the lead after just four minutes, however, weren’t able to hold onto a 2-1 lead as Villa’s Ross Barkley equalised after 77 minutes to make it 2-2.

Palace could see attacker Eberechi Eze make a welcome return against Newcastle and their opponents could be without up to five players which could provide a big boost to Glasner’s side.
Crystal Palace injury news
Eze is currently being assessed over whether he will be fit enough to feature in Saturday’s game after being on the sidelines with a hamstring issue since late October.
He missed out on Palace’s trip to Villa and Glasner said after the game: “Ebs [Eze] would like to be involved, but I took the decision not to take him. He trained during the week, but when we see our schedule after the Villa game, with eight games in December, we can't take any risks. We have to protect our players.”

Despite expecting to be back in the fold by now, defender Chadi Riad will also miss the game on Saturday even though Glasner said in October that he expected him to return after the November international break.
Key midfielder Adam Wharton will also miss the game as he is close to a return but it will come too soon. He is dealing with a groin injury, with Glasner revealing: “We hope that Adam comes back, maybe not for the Newcastle game, but in the following one or two weeks, because we need them.”
Finally, attacker Matheus Franca remains out for an extended period of time as he is dealing with a groin issue. He will be on the sidelines until likely the new year.

Newcastle United injury news
The Magpies could have up to five players ruled out of their trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday. Jamaal Lascelles remains out of action with a long-term knee injury, he will remain out until well into 2025 likely in February.
Meanwhile, Emil Krafth will also remain out until the new year as he is dealing with a shoulder injury and Sven Botman will also see himself missing the rest of 2024 as he is recovering from a long-term knee injury. Eddie Howe said: “We hope Sven can begin light training in the next few weeks. If we see him before the end of the year, that would be a bonus. We are probably looking at more like January.”
In terms of players in doubt, Joe Willock picked up a knock to his leg during the 2-0 defeat to West Ham on Monday night and could miss the game against Palace this weekend as Howe added: “Joe took a knock to part of his leg and didn't feel 100 per cent [at half-time].”
