Everything you need to know about the 2025 FA Cup final between Crystal Palace and Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.

Crystal Palace booked themselves another FA Cup final on Saturday after convincingly defeating Aston Villa thanks to an Ismaila Sarr brace and a superb Eberechi Eze strike. The Eagles will face Manchester City in the final, with Pep Guardiola’s men having fallen short in last year’s final to rivals Manchester United.

Palace know the feeling, losing the 2016 FA Cup final to United, and in their third FA Cup final, they will be desperate to finally secure their first major trophy. Here we round up all you need to know about the 2025 FA Cup final.

When is the FA Cup final?

The FA Cup final between Crystal Palace and Manchester City will take place on Saturday, May 17 at Wembley Stadium. The kick-off time is yet to be decided.

Will the FA Cup final be on TV? Is there a live stream?

Yes, the FA Cup final will be shown live on TV, and it will be broadcast free-to-air. Both BBC and ITV have the rights to show the final, and while scheduling is yet to be confirmed, it will almost be shown on BBC 1 and ITV 1.

The game will also be available to stream live online through BBC iPlayer and ITVX. It’s worth noting that this only applies to UK audiences, and broadcasting for international viewers will vary.

In terms of ticket allocation, Palace and Aston Villa both received 34,000 tickets for the semi-finals, but allocations are reduced for the final due to member, sponsors and charity allocations. We don’t yet know the full allocation details, but we know that Man Utd and Man City received 30,500 tickets each last season. It is likely that the allocation for this season’s final will be very similar to that. That means the fans of the two clubs will make up just over two thirds of the full capacity of Wembley Stadium, which is 90,000.

What has Oliver Glasner said?

Palace boss Oliver Glasner said after his side’s semi-final win over Aston Villa: “It feels really good, it feels really good. I am a little bit exhausted now. It was a very intense game, not just for the players, but also for us! Our players had to work so hard, being so concentrated and focused, not giving Aston Villa chances and also always playing forward in the right moments and creating chances.

"So our players did unbelievably well to stick to the plan. For me, it was a tricky moment when we missed the penalty because they got the momentum and then there were two or three situations to overcome. Dean Henderson had a big save too. I think that's the difference to when we lost at Newcastle - we didn't lose our heads after the missed penalty. We stuck to the plan. We knew that we would get our situations and then we scored from it, so it was an unbelievable performance from the players.

“Other than that little bit of momentum after the penalty, it felt like the most complete performance, controlling, defensively strong, attacking on the counter-attack and when we had the ball in possession.”

What has Pep Guardiola said?

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said after his side’s semi-final win over Nottingham Forest: “Seven semi-finals in a row, three finals speaks so highly about this generation of players and this Club in itself. We are really pleased that we are there. This season has not been good because what defines it is the Premier League.

“Since I have been here always we have been there but we try to avoid the damage and qualify for the Champions League. We have five days to play a team like Wolves who are playing really good. We have four finals in the league and then unbelievably pleased to play Crystal Palace here. Yesterday you saw how good they are.

“Scoring an early goal helped us, then we continued to play with tempo but we were not clever in the final third and had three or four chances to shoot when we did not. They had chances of course and we were lucky with the post, we cannot deny that but, in general, we played really good. Really pleased to be in the final again.”
