Crystal Palace make late transfer 'decision' amid Newcastle United bid as Liverpool 'identify' Joe Gomez replacement
All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Premier League clubs on transfer deadline day.
Another busy weekend of Premier League action is almost upon us, but first we have transfer deadline and all the fun that brings. The summer transfer window will slam shut at 11pm tonight, and there are still plenty of deals still to be wrapped up.

We are expecting a very busy day across London with incomings and outgoings expected at the majority - if not all - of the capital’s Premier League clubs. Here we round up all the latest on deadline day morning.
Guehi price change
Crystal Palace have reportedly made a late decision that may price Newcastle United out of a deal for star defender Marc Guehi ahead of the deadline. With the Magpies reportedly submitting a bid worth £70million, HITC say Steve Parish has upped the asking price to £75million.
The move could be a result of Palace losing their other starting centre-back in Joachim Andersen, who joined London rivals Fulham. Palace will replace Andersen with Maxence Lacroix, but replacing Guehi will prove much trickier and much more expensive at this late stage.
Almiron ‘interest’
Sticking with Newcastle, Fulham are said to be interested in a late deal for winger Miguel Almiron, who could yet be allowed to move on from St James’ Park this summer. Newcastle are said to be asking for around £30million to sanction a sale, which could push Fulham towards Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, who is said to be available for around £20million.
There is also said to be interest from Saudi Arabia in Almiron, who faces an uncertain deadline day. The report claims Eddie Howe is more than willing to keep the Paraguayan, but he could sell the winger if it means he is allowed to sign a replacement ahead of the deadline.
Liverpool ‘identify’ Gomez replacement
Liverpool confirmed the signing of Federico Chiesa from Juventus on a bargain deal worth just North of £12million on Thursday, and they are now being tipped to make a move for RB Leipzig defender Mohamed Simakan.
Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany says the Reds have enquired about a possible deal for the versatile defender who is still just 24 years of age. Simakan could replace Palace-linked Joe Gomez should the England international move on before the deadline, but Barcelona are also said to be interest.
