South London side Crystal Palace are in discussions with representatives of Ismaila Sarr to bring him back to the Premier League this summer. LondonWorld has been told that Marseille are happy to let him leave for the right price, having already agreed to the sale of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah.

New Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi is looking to build a team in his own image and has been tasked with bringing in players who fit his style of football. LondonWorld sources have added that the forward, who scored 10 Premier League goals in 50 appearances for Watford, is keen on a return to the Premier League but has left discussions to his agents and the club as the parties try and find a solution.

Sarr, a Senegal international, joined Marseille from Watford last summer and scored four goals across 35 appearances in all competitions in his debut season with the club. Palace are keen to strengthen their options on the wing after Michael Olise departed for Bayern Munich after a £50m deal was struck with the Eagles last month.

Palace looking to build on a strong finish

Last season, Palace ended the campaign 10th, winning five of their last six games, including wins at Liverpool and Aston Villa, who had enjoyed a stellar campaign and qualified for the Champions League.

The loss of Olise has dealt a devastating blow, but the arrival of Sarr could provide the respite they need. This summer, they have seen the likes of Marc Guehi, who impressed heavily for England during the Euros, linked to Real Madrid as a potential replacement for Nacho, who left the La Liga outfit after winning the Champions League.

Eberechi Eze has also been strongly linked to Tottenham Hotspur, even though they have already moved quickly to add Daichi Kamada, who won the Europa Conference League with manager Oliver Glasner at Eintracht Frankfurt, and Chadi Riad, who came through the ranks at Barcelona before making a name for himself at Real Betis.
