Crystal Palace target Naouirou Ahamada will be staying at Stuttgart this winter. The Eagles have reportedly been keen to lure him over to the Premier League before the end of the January transfer window next Tuesday.

However, according to Sky Sports (live transfer blog, 26.01.23) the player will be going nowhere this month. His current club have no intention of letting him leave until the summer.

Crystal Palace may have the seen the 20-year-old as a long-term option for them in the heart of midfield but may need to look elsewhere for other reinforcements in that department. His contract in the Bundesliga expires in June 2024.

Ahamada, who is a France youth international, joined Stuttgart back in 2020 on an initial loan deal from Juventus before his move from the Serie A giants was made permanent. However, he has only broken into their first-team this season and has been enjoying his role in the side, making 17 appearances in all competitions.

It appears he will be staying put for the next six months or so which is a blow to the Eagles. They are yet to make a signing this month.

In other Crystal Palace news, their former player Sullay Kaikai has been snapped up by MK Dons in League One. The winger has joined the Dons from Wycombe Wanderers
