Crystal Palace transfer business cranks up as Eagles ‘close in’ on third signing and eye midfielder

Crystal Palace ‘closing in’ on Flynn Downes signing and want midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

Crystal Palace are preparing for their second season under the management of Patrick Viera.

The Eagles finished 12th in the Premier League in the past campaign and will be looking to build on that next term.

They have so far signed promising young attacker Malcolm Ebiowei from Derby County and goalkeeper Sam Johnstone from West Bromwich Albion.

Their sights will be set on adding more reinforcements into their ranks over the coming weeks.

Here is a look at all the latest news coming out of Selhurst Park at the moment....

Third signing close

Crystal Palace are set to complete the signing of Flynn Downes from Championship side Swansea City.

The midfielder only joined the Welsh outfit last year from Ipswich Town and is now on the brink of a move to the Premier League.

Football.London report he is ‘closing in’ on a switch to South London.

Wolves man on radar

Viera wants to acquire Morgan Gibbs-White from fellow top flight outfit Wolves.

The England youth international spent last season on loan at Sheffield United and was a hit with the Blades, scoring 12 goals in all competitions.

He is now back with his parent club but is facing an uncertain future at Molinuex right now.

The Sun claim Crystal Palace want him along with Nottingham Forest and Southampton as they hunt for a replacement for Conor Gallagher.

Northern Irish youngster to join

Palace are poised to win the race to sign teenager Cormac Austin from Linfield.

The 16-year-old midfielder is a Northern Ireland youth international and had a trial with the Eagles earlier this year.

Belfast Live claim Leeds United and Ipswich Town have been interested too but he is moving to Selhurst Park for good.
