Crystal Palace vs AFC Bournemouth early injury news as 4 ruled out and 1 doubt
All the early injury news surrounding Crystal Palace and AFC Bournemouth as they prepare to face off in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace return to action on Saturday when they face AFC Bournemouth in what will be a tricky home clash. The Eagles have had a superb season so far, but they went into the international break on the back of their first defeat across all competitions, conceding a late winner against Everton.

Oliver Glasner will want his men to get back to winning ways here, but Bournemouth have been tricky customers under Andoni Iraola, and they have continued their fine form this season, currently in fourth place and two points ahead of Palace having also only lost one game so far. Last time out, the Cherries defeated Fulham at home following back-to-back draws against Leeds United and Newcastle United.
Here we round up the early injury news surrounding Palace and Bournemouth as they prepare to face off at Selhurst Park.
Adam Smith - Doubt
Iraola said in September: “I wouldn't expect him before the international break. I think it's going to be very difficult. I don't want to rule him out completely, because sometimes, maybe he does a very good recovery, and he can be available against Fulham.” He will go down as a doubt until ruled out.
Enes Unal - Out
Unal is due to return from his knee surgery, but after such a long spell out, it’s likely he will build up his fitness before returning to full selection. It’s likely he will remain out here, but the striker is getting close. Iraola said he wa ‘not close’ when last speaking in early September.
Chadi Riad - Out
Glasner recently confirmed some good news. He said: “Chadi looks like he will return around the next international break, so it’s good.” It’s not likely he will be fit enought o play here, given the length of time he has been out, but Riad could be back in a week or two.
Cheick Doucoure - Out
Glasner said in August: “We hoped that Cheicky could return for the Austria camp for training. We think Chadi [Riad] will return after his ACL [injury] in October or November. Now it looks like the timeline of Cheicky is more or less the same.”
Caleb Kporha - Out
Glasner has said: “Caleb has problems with his back and is not able to train and has been out the whole pre-season - we don’t know when he will return.” Glasner added in September that Kporha still hadn’t returned to training, so he is unlikely to be available here.
