Alan Pardew makes 'at sea' Crystal Palace claim as Man Utd dealt fresh injury concern

We were treated to another entertaining weekend of Premier League football, and it was the last slate of action for around two weeks due to the second international break of the season taking hold. Arsenal continue to lead the London clubs, currently third in the Premier League, while Chelsea are down in fifth.

Fulham and Brentford have both managed good starts, while Crystal Palace and West Ham will both be disappointed with their efforts so far, albeit to varying degrees. Here we round up all the latest surrounding the Premier League clubs.

Guardiola trolls Traore

Pep Guardiola trolled old friend Adama Traore after the winger missed chances during Fulham’s narrow defeat to Manchester City over the weekend. Guardiola said after the game: “Yeah, I said, ‘Well done (for missing those chances)!’

“Listen, I’ve known him since he played at Barcelona when he was in the Academy, and after he went to Middlesbrough, and after he went to Wolves with Nuno (Espirito Santo), and after he went to Barcelona, and after he came back here.”

Pardew on Palace

Alan Pardew has been speaking about old club Palace, saying he is not concerned about them despite their winless start to the campaign. “Palace are in a bad spot at the moment,” he said on TalkSPORT. “They have got players out of form, not quite sure, both wing-backs got injured, they are missing key players, and they look all at sea.

“They didn’t get in their faces (against Liverpool) and when they did in the last ten minutes, they almost got something from the game like Palace can do. But I have no fears about Crystal Palace. I think the manager knows what he is doing. I would like to see him play a bit more expansive personally, but they play a tight game and they have got the personnel to get out of the situation.”

Man Utd injury concern

Manchester United have been handed an injury concern in the form of Alejandro Garnacho, who has withdrawn from international duty due to some sort of discomfort. The winger was set to travel with Argentina for the internationa window, but he has now withdrawn.

Garnacho played the full game for United against Aston Villa as the Red Devils drew 0-0 at Villa Park. But the 20-year-old looks to have picked up a knock and will rest over the next week or so.
