Crystal Palace were patient with their recruitment over the summer. The Eagles didn’t jump into any deals and carefully weighed up their options.

Patrick Viera delved into the transfer market to bring in four new faces, which is a small number compared to the quantity of arrivals fellow Premier League clubs made. Stopper Sam Johnstone joined from West Brom to add cover to that department, whilst centre-back Chris Richards arrived from Bayern Munich.

Midfielder Cheick Doucoure made the switch to Selhurst Park from Lens and winger Malcolm Ebiowei linked up from Derby County. Palace have the chance to add more players into their squad this winter ahead of the second-half of the season.
