Arsenal could apparently move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha before the end of the transfer window as an alternative to Wolves’ Neto.

The attacker only has a year left on his contract at Selhurst Park and is facing an uncertain future.

Zaha, 29, has already scored three goals so far this season for Patrick Viera’s side.

According to a report by the Independent, Chelsea will ‘consider’ a late bid for him as they weigh up their attacking options.

Potential competition from Arsenal

However, the Blues may have to see off competition from London rivals Arsenal for his signature now.

As per reporter Miguel Delaney, the Gunners may move on to the Ivory Coast international as their pursuit of Wolves’ Neto stalls (see tweet below):

Mikel Arteta’s men have made a dream start to the new campaign and have won all four of their opening clashes against Palace, Leicester City, AFC Bournemouth and Fulham.

They seem to be in the hunt still for some more competition and depth in forward areas though to ensure that they have enough depth in their ranks.

Zaha is an experienced player who has racked up 450 appearances in his career to date, chipping in with 86 goals.

He fired 15 in all competitions last term and will be eager to replicate that in this campaign.

Crystal Palace won’t want to lose him but with his current deal up next year, they run the risk of losing him for free if they don’t cash in on him now or in January, assuming he doesn’t pen a new contract.
