Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been speaking about his former clubs and mentioned how living in Turkey is different to London.

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says Manchester United are getting a good manager in Ruben Amorim following the sacking of Erik ten Hag earlier in the week. Mourinho, who coached Manchester United after leaving Chelsea, said: "I wish the best to Man United since the moment I left. I remember him; he was a good kid and a very good manager, and his results in Portugal have already shown that."

The multiple-title-winning Chelsea manager also said he’s enjoying his time in Turkey, where he mentioned that due to the country’s geography, it takes him just 10 minutes to move from the European side to the Asian side where his club is based. He works during the day there.

He made reference to how smooth his life is, using the distance between Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea play, and Cobham, where the team trains, as a comparison.

On his time in Turkey, Mourinho also told Sky: “I live in Europe and I work in Asia. It’s not like when I was living in London and had to go to training around Cobham.

“Here, I just cross the bridge, and I’m at my workplace; then I’m back home again.”

Chelsea are enjoying a good run under their new Italian manager, Enzo Maresca, who took over the club in the summer from Mauricio Pochettino. He has made a very good start, with Chelsea having lost only twice in the league in their first nine games. Those losses came against Manchester City on the opening day of the season and Liverpool two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Mourinho has had a decent start to life in Turkey, although he’s eight points behind leaders Galatasaray with a game in hand. There’s still enough time to catch up, and Mourinho has built a reputation for winning trophies almost everywhere he’s been.
