Chelsea forwards Armando Broja and Mykhailo Mudryk returned to training this week and are available for selection.

Chelsea have only won three league games under Mauricio Pochettino this season but they will instantly improve their standing and confidence if they can get all three points against their sworn rivals Tottenham this weekend.

Mauricio Pochettino has had to deal with injuries but confirmed both Armando Broja and Reece James who have been managed carefully due to his hamstring problems could both play a role in the game.

The Chelsea boss told reporters ahead of the game on Monday night: “I don’t know. We’ll see. We’ll see first of all if he’s available. Then if my decision is to play with him or not.

“I think it was good for him to start a game after a few months. For the team, because he’s our captain, he’s a very important player. Now we need to assess him to see if he’s ready to start or not on Monday.”

Mykhailo Mudryk could also return to training this week and could be available for the game after missing the last two due to an injury he picked up in training.

No team has scored more Premier League goals away to Spurs than the 51 by Chelsea and Chelsea have won four away games at Tottenham, making them one of the strongest sides against Tottenham since they moved to their new stadium.

Mauricio Pochettino took charge of a club-record 202 Premier League games for Tottenham and his return to north London is expected to pour fuel into an already volatile situation even though the Chelsea boss admitted nothing could take away the good times they had there.
