Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly continued his tradition of going into the dressing room after games following Chelsea’s impressive 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

The game showed the team's progress under new manager Mauricio Pochettino with a solid second-half display that delighted the Argentine manager and fans worldwide. Hours after the final whistle at Stamford Bridge, it was confirmed on social media that Chelsea had agreed a British record fee for the signing of Brighton and Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo.

The 21-year-old has been the club’s prime transfer target all summer and the confirmation brings an end to a transfer saga that had been ongoing for almost three months.

During the press conference after the game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had already hinted Moises Caicedo was heading to Stamford Bridge by saying Chelsea usually get what they want.

“There is no update but as you know Chelsea normally get what they want but that is what I can say at the moment.”

Chelsea co-owner was also asked by fans as he walked out of the stadium about the imminent arrival of Caicedo and Lavia where he responded that they were ‘working on it’.

This has been a historic summer for the Blues for so many reasons but the signing of Caicedo is expected to establish Chelsea as a genuine force in this year's Premier League after they finished a lowly 12th last season and missed out on European football.
