Barcelona are said to be determined to beat Chelsea to the signing of Athletic Club winger Nico Williams next summer. Williams was linked with plenty of top clubs after his impressive Euro 2024 outings but he eventually decided to stay put.
This will almost certainly be Williams’ last season with the Basque club, though, and according to SPORT, Barcelona are already preparing a deal for the summer of 2025, knowing they will be able to afford his release clause come the end of the season.
Chilwell latest
Chelsea are reportedly pushing to offload full-back Ben Chilwell ahead of the end of the Turkish window on September 13. According to HITC, Besiktaş, Fenerbahçe, and Galatasaray are all interested in a possible deal, and likely a loan deal.
Chilwell was once an important star for Chelsea but injury issues have plagued him over recent times and it appears Enzo Maresca prefers a different kind of full-back. Chelsea have just a week if they want to offload Chilwell in one way or another.
