One Chelsea coach is said to have resigned from his role to link up with new England boss and former Blues head coach Thomas Tuchel. After Tuchel was announced, it was suggested that Chelsea coach Hilario could leave Stamford Bridge to go with him.
The Telegraph have now announced that Hilario has handed in his notice, and he will leave the club in the near future. England don’t play again until March, when Hilario will begin his role. It’s reported that Chelsea will not replace him, given they already have goalkeeping coaches on board.
Badiashile claim
Chelsea boss Maresca is reportedly ‘unconvinced’ by one of his players despite a differing view at club level. According to TeamTalk, the Blues are confident that defender Benoit Badiashile is good enough to compete for a starting role.
But the report goes on to claim that Maresca does not hold the same view. It’s claimed the Italian would like to sign a new defender to compete with the likes of Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill, with Bournemouth star Ilia Zabarnyi being linked. What Chelsea will do - if anything - with Badiashile remains to be seen, with the 23-year-old under contract until 2030.
