Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia confirmed he was being tested after being forced off in the game against Arsenal over the weekend. Lavia missed almost the entire previous season at Chelsea due to injury, but he’s bounced back impressively this season.
Not only has he found his fitness, but he has also forced his way back into the manager's plans, often keeping £107m signing Enzo Fernandez on the bench. So, when he was seen walking through the tunnel, it was clear he was in some trouble.

Speaking to RTL Info, he said:“I received a little blow. At the moment, we are testing to see if it’s okay, but it should be fine, I think.”
Two other players withdrawn
Wesley Fofana and Malo Gusto will remain at Cobham after suffering injuries. Chelsea were forced to release a statement on Fofana, saying he felt some pain in his knee and would stay at Cobham for further testing and monitoring. Gusto, who was named in the France U-21 team for upcoming matches against Italy and Germany, is also sidelined.
Gusto has been sensational for the club since signing, often stepping in for Reece James, who has struggled with muscle injuries. This season, Gusto has also been tasked with moving into midfield and using his pace to create overloads for his team.
Chelsea now have almost 10 days to get all the injured players and those with knocks into shape before travelling to the King Power for their Premier League game after the international break.
