'Ridiculous' - Harry Redknapp slams Chelsea and Man Utd ahead of Stamford Bridge clash
Premier League legend Harry Redknapp has slammed Chelsea and Manchester United for their recent performances ahead of the two clubs meeting at Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening. The ex-Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur manager lamented 'great games between these down the years' in his weekly predictions.
Chelsea welcome the Red Devils to London this week as both sides look to bounce back from draws over the Easter weekend. Mauricio Pochettino's side only managed a 2-2 draw against relegation-threatened and 10-man Burnley while Erik ten Hag's men saw an injury-time winner cancelled out by an even later Brentford goal.

Previewing the match, Redknapp shared his disappointment with how both sides had performed so far this season. He said: "I remember some of the great games between these down the years – it feels like a lifetime ago with the way these two are looking! I can’t believe Chelsea didn’t win that game at the weekend, no disrespect to Burnley but a side of Chelsea’s class have to be comfortably winning that.
"Manchester United were even worse against Brentford! The number of chances this side gives up is just ridiculous – you’d think they were a bottom six side at times, not top six.

The 77-year-old went on to tip Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount as one to watch under the lights in West London. The former Chelsea man scored his first goal for the Red Devils against Brentford and will return to Stamford Bridge for the first time since leaving last summer.
