Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino reveals ‘winning’ message to players and fans

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino faced the press for the first time since taking up the Blues job and was impressive largely with his answers and explaining why he is now the boss of the west London club.
The former Tottenham manager was asked about his squad, and the challenge of getting the team back to fighting at the top of English and British football.

Hide AdHe has been working with a group of players that include Raheem Sterling, Reece James, Ben Chilwell and Andrey Santos with many expected to join next week before they fly out to the United States for the second half of their pre-season.
Speaking about where the team was at the moment, Pochettino said they had all the qualities to create a team that can compete and win in the short term or even immediately.
He said: “My aim is to win. If you are at Chelsea, you can not talk about showing up and playing well.
“Of course playing well is our style and philosophy but also to win. With the players we have we need to start to believe. We need to work hard, we are working really hard and need to relay this energy to our fans. The Premier League is really tough.”
