Hide AdNkunku again showed up as all good strikers would do by being at the right place at the right time to score Chelsea’s second goal as they beat Fulham 2-0 in a routine win to bag the first-ever Premier League Summer Series in Cup Washington.
His strike partner Nicolas Jackson who also scored against Newcastle did not find the back of the net, this time around but his runs from deep caused the Fulham defence all sorts of problems as Argentine manager Pochettino continues to fine-tune this young Chelsea team.
Last season, they struggled to score goals with the team managing just 38 all campaign and finishing a lowly 12th. Both Nkunku and Jackson signed this summer to solve the goalscoring problems have five between them, and Pochettino who doesn't rule out bringing in a striker with a different profile says he’s delighted with the way things are going so far.

Hide AdHe told reporters after the 2-0 win over Fulham to end their Summer Series campaign: “Today I think we are happy with the performance and they can complement each other really well. Yes, of course, maybe we can add some different profiles or different players who can help us, of course, we are open.
“ I am so happy with both and we have younger like Mason today and Broja in the UK recovering from his procedure. We need to analyse now in the next weeks until the transfer window closes. We will take the best decision for the team.”
With just two weeks before a ball is kicked in the season, Chelsea have one more game in the States where they will face German side Dortmund before the game against Liverpool on the opening day of the campaign.
