'Always positive': Mauricio Pochettino delivers Chelsea training ground mood ahead of Newcastle

Chelsea have won only 10 league games all season with Mauricio Pochettino under increasing pressure.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has attempted to lift the mood around the training ground by telling Sky Sports that he's always positive after being asked how he is feeling. The Chelsea boss has been at the centre of a storm with some fans calling for the return of Jose Mourinho during their 2-2 draw against Brentford last weekend.

Pochettino has only been able to win 10 league games all season, but he did get the team to the final of the League Cup where they lost to Liverpool and will also take on Leicester City at the quarter-final stage of the FA Cup

There has certainly been progress compared to last season, but the fact that they are still stuck in 11th on the league table and with a real possibility of missing out on European football has seen his job come under scrutiny lately.

Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi and Sporting's Ruben Amorim have all been linked to Pochettino's job this week but he appeared in good spirits before training. Asked how he felt, he said: "Ahhh always positive and always optimistic."

Pochettino also asked Sky Sports presenter Gary Cotterill about the weather before hurriedly heading off for the day's work. The Argentinian will hope his side can take all three points when they host Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening.

Both teams have struggled in the league, but there is still a chance that the Blues could go on a achieve their target for the season but they will have to start winning games.
