Mauricio Pochettino confirms 23-year-old Chelsea star will return to the squad after recovering from injury


Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Enzo Fernandez has trained all week and will be involved in the game against Manchester City tomorrow at Wembley.
Reports in Argentina had claimed the midfielder needed surgery on his groin/ hernia. Other reports claimed he had been playing through the pain barrier and Pochettino who spoke to the press ahead of the semi-final game admitted they were managing the situation but revealed he would be in the squad.

Hide AdThe Chelsea boss told reporters at the club’s training ground in Cobham: “I think Enzo has trained really well in the last few days. He’s going to be part of the team for tomorrow. We are managing the situation also with great communication with the coaching staff.
“We are assessing the situation because yes it is true that he has suffered a problem there in the past but he is dealing well with the situation.
“First of all the most important thing is him and how he feels, like a person, you know the player. And the most important thing is how he feels at the moment. Whether he is comfortable with the situation or not.
“And we are going to always support him. It’s his decision, we are not here to force him to do anything.”

Hide AdPochettino’s side produced their best performance on Monday night to beat Everton 6-0, more impressively, Raheem Sterling, Axel Disasi and Fernandez, three key members of the squad, The good news is that all three have trained this week and will be involved.
