Chelsea will get their pre-season underway with a tour of the United States this week and the first stop on the list is Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The Blues will take on Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s Wrexham, following their promotion to the Football League.

Mauricio Pochettino will get a good look at his squad ahead of what will be an important season for Chelsea. They endured a tough run in the 2022/23 campaign, finishing 12th after picking up just 11 wins and returning one of the lowest goal tallies in the Premier League.

Chelsea squad vs Wrexham

Chelsea have bid farewell to a number of players already this summer as the drama of the transfer window continues. Their midfield is especially bare right now after the sale of Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, and Mateo Kovacic amongst others. N’Golo Kante and Kalidou Koulibaly have both pursued moves to Saudi Arabia to join the growing Pro League.

The Blues have gotten stuck into their recruitment though, and have welcomed four new recruits, including £52 million Christopher Nkunku.

Here is the full 29-man squad Pochettino has flown out to the US for pre-season action.
