The infamously addictive game returned on November 8th with it’s 2022 edition, taking an even deeper dive into the world of football management, adding a shiny new data hub and an improved match engine to its already extensive take on life in the dugout.
For a bit of fun, we've fired up the newly released productivity-devastator, and sent the game three years into the future to see how Chelsea line up on the first day of the 2024/25 season.
Take a look at how the game predicts the Blues’ matchday squad will look as they prepare for a season opener against Manchester City:

13. Sub 2: Chris Mepham
One of the more intriguing additions that Chelsea have made, the Wales international was snapped up in 2024 after swapping Bournemouth for Brighton and enjoying a hugely successful three-year stint at the Amex. (Photo by Catherine Ivill/Getty Images) Photo: Catherine Ivill

14. Sub 3: Conor Gallagher
Ticking along quite nicely at club level, Gallagher has bafflingly never been capped by England. (Photo by Alessandro Sabattini/Getty Images) Photo: Alessandro Sabattini

15. Sub 4: Timo Werner
A fairly paltry 14 goals in 81 outings would suggest that Werner never managed to find his best form at Stamford Bridge, and it's no surprise to see him relegated to squad player status. (Photo by Clive Rose/Getty Images) Photo: Clive Rose

16. Sub 5: Jorginho
A little bit older and facing stiff competition, Jorginho is predominantly a benchwarmer in 2024. (Photo by Ian MacNicol/Getty Images) Photo: Ian MacNicol
