Two seasons ago, they finished 12th, their worst league finish in 24 years, and last season, despite spending almost £1 billion on players, they failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Former striker Didier Drogba has said he doesn't recognize the club anymore, but Bosingwa, speaking in an interview with RG.org, admitted it was a privilege to play for Chelsea. He said, “Every top player wants to play at Chelsea. It means a lot for me to be able to play there, make memories, and create bonds that will last a lifetime."
Living in London has always been a massive attraction for some players, and after Chelsea, Bosingwa stayed on to play for Queens Park Rangers before moving to Turkey the following season. On the international scene, Bosingwa continued to play for Portugal and by the time he hung up his boots, he’d played 27 times for his country.
Chelsea are hoping to rediscover their magic touch when they were the best team in England and almost always competed for the league title.
