'Everything wrong' - ex-Chelsea star tears into current side and raises major Liverpool concern

One former Chelsea star has slammed his old club after their abject display against Liverpool on Wednesday night.

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has blasted his old club after their heavy defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday night. The Blues put in an abject display at Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp's men on another level currently.

That's despite Chelsea racking up a huge spending bill over the last two years, bringing in talented players aplenty and swapping manager along the way, with Mauricio Pochettino having taken over ahead of this season. Even with all that money spent, the Blues are in 10th place and unable to compete with the league's best, causing serious questions to be asked.

And former Chelsea man Lebouf has issued his take on the situation, slamming the current squad. “Defensively the four at the back were nowhere near it, Thiago Silva was better than the others,” Leboeuf told ESPN. “Can you imagine that Petrovic had a bad game? It could have been worse.

“What we see right now is a team that doesn’t know how to play together. When Christopher Nkunku came on, I saw a different player. I saw someone who knows how to play internationally. The other Chelsea players? I don’t know. The others are mid-table players.

“I was insulted by a lady, if you can call her a lady, on social media last week because I was harsh on Chelsea. How do you want to be nice about Chelsea right now? What can you find about my former club to say ‘Yes we can believe we can do something good?’ It’s awful, it’s appalling, it’s everything wrong, nothing is good. I don’t know how they can cope in the Carabao Cup final."
