Chelsea travel to the King Power looking for win that strengthens their grip on third place in the league table.

It's Chelsea's turn for the early kick-off, a fixture often dreaded in the Premier League. Last season, the Blues did not win a single game after an international break. In fact, they have only won one of their last seven Premier League matches immediately following international breaks, although they have drawn three of them.

There is no denying that Chelsea have improved under Enzo Maresca. They are in a better league position now than they were last season, and the football they play is pleasing to the eye.

They have fared better against teams they should beat, and although there are still concerns over their performances against the top sides, they gave Arsenal and Liverpool tough games.

There's a sense that playing the first game immediately after the international break is always challenging, especially for a team like Chelsea, who have players such as Enzo Fernandez, whose journey would have been around 14 hours to get back in time, same for Moisés Caicedo. This leaves the manager with less time to train and prepare properly for the match, as well as less time for the players to recover and get over the jet lag.

However, Chelsea have a massive squad, with players who are eager for game time and ready to step in if Maresca chooses to rotate the squad and give minutes to those on the periphery.

This will also be the first time Maresca returns to Leicester, where he led the club to the Premier League after a year in the Championship. Expect the atmosphere to be charged, and there is more good news: the trio of Romeo Lavia, Malo Gusto, and Wesley Fofana have all been passed fit for the game.

Chelsea face another test, however, as they have not won any of their last three matches against teams managed by Steve Cooper.
