Todd Boehly is reportedly in a civil war with his Clearlake Capital partners, with reports he will move to take full control of Chelsea or sell up and move on. Sky Sports reportah Karveh Solhekol has said of the situation: “Boehly is committed to Chelsea but he is not in control. He has his own ideas about how a football club should be run but he can never be the ultimate decision maker at Chelsea when someone else owns 61.5% of the club.
“Eghbali and Clearlake would be interested in buying Boehly’s shares if he wants to walk away. It is difficult to see how Boehly is going to come out on top when Eghbali does not want to sell.”
Chukwuemeka decision
Chelsea will reportedly take their time over Carney Chukwuemeka, believing he may yet have a future at the club despite him reportedly being made available during the summer.
“Chelsea don’t look at Chukwuemeka as somebody that is a big outlay on the wage bill, nor was he signed for a particularly large fee,” Ben Jacobs told GiveMeSport. “It was a big fee, given his age and his profile at the time, but it’s under £20million in all.

Dorgu interest
Tottenham are said to have enquired over a deal for Lecce star Patrick Dorgu during the summer, but they were not alone. According to Fabrizio Romano, both Chelsea and Spurs were interested in a move for the 19-year-old.
With Ben Davies’ contract up at the end of the season, Tottenham are said to have considered signing the left-back for long-term cover for Destiny Udogie. It’s reported Tottenham decided against a £25million deal but could return next summer.
