Confirmed Chelsea XI vs Fulham: four changes from Brighton game as 22-year-old gets first start

All three of the Premier League fixtures between the sides on a Monday have ended in a draw.

Mauricio Pochettino is attempting his first away Premier League game as Chelsea manager and his first since January 2019 when he was Tottenham manager.

The Blues manager has drawn just four of his last 14 away games and lost the rest including the defeat to West Ham with Chelsea just picking up five points from their first six league games so far.

They have been hit with injuries recently with Reece James and his assistant Ben Chilwell all out of this game, but they will have Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke back next week, a sign of getting players back at a crucial time of the season.

They should be pumped up by their 1-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in the League Cup having failed to win their preceding three games before that.

All three games between Fulham and Chelsea played on a Monday night have ended in draws and even though that will be better than another defeat, Chelsea will hope they take all three points to climb the table.

Chelsea need points and Mauricio Pochettino has gone with a team he feels can deliver the win that will truly get his time at the Bridge going.
