Confirmed Chelsea XI vs Manchester United as crucial Reece James call is made

Chelsea have not won a game at Old Trafford since 2013 and last beat United in 2017 going into tonight's game.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has named a strong team with Axel Disasi and Cole Palmer in the starting eleven against Manchester United.

Pochettino is attempting to win a game at Stamford Bridge for the first time since 2013 and there is a feeling that there will never be a better time than now when Manchester United are distracted off the pitch.

Manchester United lost their winning streak when they lost to Newcastle over the weekend but Erik ten Hag's side are still five points ahead of the Blues.

Cole Palmer returns to the starting eleven but captain Reece James is on the bench as Pochettino keeps Axel Disasi in the team.

Chelsea have won three of their last four away games in the league, picking up five wins in total from four games so far.

Pochettino will also be taking on Erik ten Hag for the first time since they met in the Champions League semi-final in 2019. The now-Chelsea boss was at Tottenham and Ten Hag was at Ajax. That night it was Pochettino who progressed at the expense of the Manchester United boss.

Chelsea have nine players injured and the suspended Conor Gallagher so Mauricio Pochettino has put up a strong starting XI for the game at Old Trafford.
