Confirmed Chelsea XI vs Sheffield United as crucial Enzo Fernandez decision is made

Chelsea are looking for only their third home league win today.

The news Chelsea fans have been waiting for all season has now been confirmed with forward Christopher Nkunku named in the squad for the first time this season while Enzo Fernandez drops to the bench. The rapid French forward will come from the bench for his debut after four months out due to a knee injury.

Nkunku bagged three goals and two assists in pre-season before disaster struck against Dortmund, what was supposed to be a few weeks out has since been four months out with Chelsea struggling for sustained firepower upfront.

Fellow summer signing Nicolas Jackson is the club's top scorer in all competitions with seven goals even though there is a general feeling that he hasn't made good use of the chance he's got to lead the line.

Raheem Sterling, who has bagged six goals was left out of the starting 11 against Everton last weekend as Mauricio Pochettino looked for a reaction from Mykhailo Mudryk. Sheffield United are the only team in the division without an away league victory this season, taking one point from seven matches.

But Pochettino has seen his team lose at home to Nottingham Forest and Brentford, so there will be no room for complacency as they bid to return to form this afternoon.

Chelsea have let in multiple goals in each of their previous five league matches - the last time they conceded twice or more in six successive top-flight games was between December 1977 and February 1978.

So with that in mind, this is the team manager Pochettino has named for the game.
