Chelsea are in line for an interesting summer after their battle for European football is done and dusted. Mauricio Pochettino's men are currently five points off the top seven with two games in hand and hoping to make up that between now and the end of the season.
Meanwhile, the Blues will be making plans for the summer window, when they will likely have to sell a key player or two if they want to sign players while remaining within profit and sustainability margins. With that in mind, we have put together a potential starting XI for Chelsea next season based on recent rumours.
5. RB - Malo Gusto
Chelsea re not likely to be able to strengthen on the right as well as the left. Gusto should have a starting spot more often than not if Reece James' injury history is anything to go by. If James stays fit, it will be an interesting battle. | Getty Images
6. CM - Enzo Fernandez

7. CM - Moises Caicedo
Caicedo is improving week by week and will remain a starter given how much Chelsea invested in him. | Getty Images
8. CAM - Cole Palmer
This one is a tough one to call. Gallagher could be used to make more FFP space. A creative midfielder is likely to be pricey, although Enzo could be moved up. Palmer may find his role as a support striker, especially if Chelsea sign a new frontman. | Getty Images
