Chelsea are still open to selling Conor Gallagher despite the midfielder being one of the stand-out players for Mauricio Pochettino during their tour of the United States.

West Ham United are leading the race for the midfielder as they look to spend some of the cash they generated from the sale of Declan Rice to West Ham United. The Hammers made almost £105million from Arsenal but will now have to replace the hole his departure has created.

West Ham manager has had two offers for James Ward-Prowse rejected by Championship side Southampton while they still ponder a move for Conor Gallagher. Chelsea will jump at the opportunity to sell him for £50million.

Chelsea are in discussion with Brighton and Hove Albion for the midfielder Moises Caicedo having also had three offers rejected by the Seagulls chairman Tony Bloom. Chelsea have sold almost 11 players and that number moves to almost 20 when you add players who have left for loan so they are light in midfielder.

The prime target for this summer is Caicedo even though Chelsea have looked at PSG's outcast Leandro Paredes as a short-term alternative with Brighton continuing to harden their stand on wanting at least £100million for the Ecuardo international.

Conor Gallagher returned to Chelsea last season after an impressive loan spell at Crystal Palace where he really came to life with eight goals and helped them reach the semi-final of the FA Cup where his absence hurt the team ironically against Chelsea.

Last summer former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel blocked a bid from Newcastle- while Pochettino has also shown his interest in him by playing him in a lot in preseason.
