Chelsea captain Reece James says they have to get back to the drawing board quickly and respond to their disappointing defeat to Manchester United against Everton this weekend. The Blues produced another passive performance to lose 2-1 at Old Trafford, their second defeat in the last three games and have not managed to break into the top half of the table all season.
Mauricio Pochettino admitted United deserved the victory because they had more energy and looked more determined while captain James says they need to correct mistakes and climb the table.

Hide AdJames told the club after the game at Old Trafford: "It’s disappointing to come here and walk away with nothing." "We were probably lucky to be 1-1 at half-time. They missed a penalty and had another chance they should have scored in the first half. When I came on we were in the game. "To win games you need to take chances. We had lots in the first half and a couple in the second. We created a lot, but we weren’t clinical in taking our chances. They took a couple of theirs. "We knew Manchester United are an amazing team and coming here would be hard. They didn’t surprise us. It’s tough to say why we lost, but we have to move on.
"We have to get back to the drawing board quickly and correct our mistakes and make sure we respond against Everton this weekend."
The Blues were without 10 players at Old Trafford due to injuries and suspension with Conor Gallagher likely to come straight into the starting 11.
