Chelsea are back in action this weekend as they prepare for one of their hardest clashes to date. The Blues will head up to Liverpool to take on the current league leaders who have won six of their seven matches so far this Premier League campaign.
Chelsea are seven matches unbeaten but after failing to capitalise against ten-man Nottingham Forest last time out, Enzo Maresca’s squad will be desperate to bounce back strong. Ahead of the clash at Anfield on Sunday, here is the latest news from both the red and blue camps...

Alisson Becker - OUT

Harvey Elliott - OUT
Elliott is not likely to return until early November after fracturing his foot. While it had been hoped the recovery would take just six weeks, and he would therefore be back for this weekend’s clash, Elliott’s likely return has bee pushed back. He is, however, back training on the outdoor pitches.
Cody Gakpo - Doubt
The Dutch star was ‘taken out’ due to injuries he sustained on international duty. His situation is expected to be assessed on return to the AXA training centre after returning from the Netherlands camp.
Ryan Gravenberch - Doubt
Similarly to his compatriot, Gravenberch is also deemed to have sustained injuries while on international duty and will join Gakpo in being assessed later this week by the Reds medical team.
Federico Chiesa - Doubt

Caoimhin Kelleher - Doubt
The Irish goalkeeper is likely to deputise for Becker, so long as he has recovered from an illness that kept him out of action before the international break.
Alexis MacAllister - Doubt
Mac Allister suffered an issue in his right adductor muscle and while he is expected to be back in action against Chelsea, the Reds will be carefully monitoring the situation so as not to exacerbate the issue.

The Blues captain took part in a full first-team training session on Monday, indicating a return can’t be far away. He won’t be selected for such a game as Liverpool at Anfield, but could be back in business within the next two weeks.
Omari Kellyman - OUT
The summer signing continues to be out of action with his return not likely to be for another two months. The 19-year-old did reveal, however, that the has started part of his rehabilitation phase.
Carney Chukwuemeka - Return
Illness stopped Chukwuemeka from playing in the Europa Conference League win over Gent and he was subsequently not included in the matchday squad to face Forest. However, the midfielder has reportedly made a full recovery and took part in Monday’s training session.
