Chelsea perform transfer U-turn as double exit 'advancing'
All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea as they prepare to face West Ham.
Chelsea are back in Premier League action tonight, on Friday night, when they face London rivals West Ham away from home. The Blues couldn’t find the net last time out, and they will want to prove their attacking ability against an Iron side that conceded three against Sunderland last weekend.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea U-turn
Maresca has confirmed that Chelsea will try to avoid signing a centre-back after the injury to Levi Colwill despite recently suggesting a new signing was required at the position.
He said: “We are looking for an internal solution. We showed that last game against Palace and we will see what happens. We are trying to find a solution.” Chelsea do have plenty of options at the position, with Wesley Fofana returning and Tosin Adarabioyo looking likely to stick around.
Chelsea and Dortmund double deal
Chelsea could be about to send two players to Borussia Dortmund, and the first of which will be Aaron Anselmino. Fabrizio Romano has posted on X: “Aaron Anselmino already said yes to Borussia Dortmund loan, Carney Chukwuemeka strongly wants BVB…Chelsea informed Dortmund that Aaron Anselmino loan will only be possible if Chukwuemeka deal is permanent.”
He added: “Aaron Anselmino’s move to Borussia Dortmund will be a straight loan, no buy option. Chelsea and BVB are still discussing terms for Carney Chukwuemeka permanent move in order to approve Anselmino’s loan.”
Enzo Maresca confirmed the news, saying: “He's training very hard, he's a fantastic boy, a good player. But he needs to play games. He needs to go. He's another player waiting for solutions”.
Chelsea could also be about to send Carney Chukwuemeka back to Dortmund, and this time on a permanent deal. Romano added: “Borussia Dortmund are now in advanced talks with Chelsea to sign Carney Chukwuemeka on permanent deal from Chelsea. #CFC always requested permanent and the deal is advancing.”
Maresca on team news and Jackson
Maresca has been speaking about team news for West Ham and the current stance on Nicolas Jackson amid transfer rumours. On team news, he said: “Tosin is available for tomorrow. I’m a little bit surprised because last week when he wasn’t available, the day before it was everywhere [in the media] that he wasn’t available!
“Now I don’t know why you don’t know he is available. Romeo is still out [and won’t play in this game]. Benoit is still out. Wes is back, as I said, and that’s all.”
On Jackson, Maresca added: “He's available but he's not going to be part of the squad because, as we already said, we have two strikers. We have two players in that position and also we know something can happen before the transfer window closes. No idea [if he is close to leaving], to be honest. No idea. You know already from last season that I prefer to be focused on training sessions, prepare the game and these kind of things. I don't know."
